CalTrans officials have shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Tracy due to a sinkhole that has opened up.
The report originally came in just after 11 a.m., indicating the sink hole was located on I-5 near Highway 132.
The sinkhole is reported to be three to five feet wide in diameter at the surface, according to CHP. Underneath the surface, however, the sinkhole stretches out from the right shoulder to the number one lane.
It is not known at this time what caused the sinkhole, officials said.
